The Magnificent 7

Updated: Apr 25, 2020

As I've always done after reading a few chapters I started to meditate on what was read. I had just finished a series of designs surrounding the menorah; where as, I thought to myself; why did The Lord chose only 7 candlesticks? So I started to dig and my foundry was actually amazing. Seven is the number of completion and perfection (both physical and spiritual). It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's creation of all things. In addition to this; the number 7 is much more prevalent in nature than most of us realize:

The Number 7 in nature (Physical)

  • There are 7 oceans

  • 7 continents

  • 7 vertebrae in the neck

  • 7 layers of skin (2 outer and 5 inner)

  • The ocean waves roll in 7s

  • The rainbow has 7 colors

(North, South, East, West, Up, Down, Center)

  • The earth was created in 7 days

  • 7 wonders of the ancient world

  • The number 7 is used 735 times in the Bible

If that's not intriguing enough let's take a look in the word of God on spiritual aspects regarding the number 7.

They're many books to which there's no end. However, the Bible stands alone by itself. It's the plenary, infallible and inspired word of the living God. I'll give you one topic and one topic only: Slavery. Whosoever can debunk slavery and prove beyond a reasonable doubt that it never happened. I'll burn all my Bibles, pickup a lamentation from Job's wife and curse God and never write another blog. So produce your cause and or reasons to disapprove this biblical and historical fact. Nevertheless; until you can prove that lets talk about other books some have erred earnestly through lies and deception! The Quran, The Book of the Dead and The Book of Mormon to name a few do these books have prophesies? Inquiring minds would like to know? Don't be deceived Israel we have the one true God; The Holy One of Israel, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUS!

Lets take a look at the wondrous works of The Lord:

Jeremiah 51:15-16

15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

So finally my brethren; whosoever that is wise and will observe these things, even they shall understand the goodness and the wonderful works of The Lord. Our forefather John wrote about the abundance of things our Lord Jesus Christ did that the world could not contain the books that should be written. Wow, brothers and sisters we have no idea what the Lord has in store for us. I encourage you all to read, read and read. I leave you with this:

Ecclesiasticus 43:32-33

32 There are yet hid greater things than these be, for we have seen but a few of his works.

33 For the Lord hath made all things; and to the godly hath he given wisdom.
